ICCTF Participated in UI Youth Climate Day 2016

On 26-27 February 2016, Indonesia Climate Change Trust Fund (ICCTF) participated in UI Youth Climate Day 2016 held by GreAction Indonesia at University of Indonesia, Depok, West Java. Opened by Prof. Emil Salim (Professor of Economics at University of Indonesia) and Dr. Nur Masripatin (Director General for Climate Change at the Ministry of Environment and Forestry), the two-day event was attended by more than 100 university students who were all enthusiastic in sharing their ideas of combatting climate change.

At the main event, ICCTF Executive Director Dr. Erwin Widodo gave a presentation on an introduction to climate finance. This presentation, along with other topics presented by Dr. Sunaryo of RCCC UI dan Mochamad Indrawan of CDKN, was later discussed in more detail by the attendees at a brainstorming session.

In addition, ICCTF set up an information booth to give updates of Indonesian climate programmes and policies to the students. The booth was very popular among them as they could have more thorough discussions with the staff of ICCTF Secretariat about opportunities they could take part in to join climate actions.Tasya Kamila, Indonesian Ambassador of Environment, and musician Ressa Herlambang also joined the fun.
